Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is a versatile therapy that is fantastic for providing relief to arthritic/aching joints with buoyancy and aids circulation through movement in the warm water. When used appropriately, it it a great tool for building strength and gaining mobility through joints. Canine Rehab & Recovery uses the latest model of hydro/physio treadmill. This means we are able to tailor the water height, belt speed and incline to your pet's therapy needs.

Laser therapy

Laser therapy, also known as photo biomodulation therapy, has a wide range of benefits!

This holistic therapy works by stimulating the cells in tissue through low-level light energy. By targeting the cells directly, the laser then promotes cell metabolism and regeneration - aiding cell damage caused by acute injuries. It also helps to reduce inflammation and promote blood flow to the targeted area. This therapy can be especially helpful for those unable to take anti-inflammatories due to underlying kidney/liver disease.

Therapeutic Exercises

Customized exercise programs are a crucial part of every rehabilitation program. Correcting posture, improving joint range of motion and enhancing strength and balance are all things targeted with specific exercises and movements. A gait/movement analysis is carried out in your initial appointment to help determine what needs work/improvement and will be helpful in the development of in-clinic and home exercise programs.

Myotherapy

Empower
Growth

Myotherapy/Massage Therapy is often included in rehabilitation programs to help release tension, support healthy joint mobility and improve circulation and flexibility. Different massage techniques can be used to treat abnormalities within the fascia such as trigger points/adhesions due to restricted range of movement through a limb or chronic altered posture due to osteoarthritis or other orthopedic/medical conditions.
